Bio
Aidan and Alex Cham live in St Albans, United Kingdom.
Aidan is 13 years old and has been playing the ’cello for the past six years. His younger brother, Alex, is 11, and has been playing the ’cello for the past five years.
Both boys have just started lessons at the Royal Academy of Music. They have also been members of the National Children Orchestra for the last three years which they have enjoyed immensely.
Their previous teacher, Dr Oliver Gledhill, has been a wonderful mentor and inspiration for the boys over the years. The boys recognise that much of their success is attributed to Dr Gledhill.
They met Tim Grant-Jones last year during the Bedfordshire Festival of Music, Speech and Drama. Tim has been very supportive to the boys during their preparation for their performances.
Both boys especially love performing together. There is a special energy and electricity the brothers have when playing a duet together.
Both love music and learn the piano and cornet too. A lot of their time is engaged in musical extra curricular activities e.g. ensembles, quartets, sextets, trios, big band, percussion ensembles and orchestras.
Aidan’s other interests include gardening, coding, judo and rock climbing.
Alex likes gymnastics, chess, rugby and reading books.
They hope that everyone will enjoy their performances.
